WCU to offer 'Outdoor Photography' Oct. 24
10/8/2008 - Western Carolina University will offer a class on nature photography from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24.
Participants will travel by van to various sites to learn about the use of natural light, composition, focus, and camera modes that produce the best results.
Participants will practice taking photos such as panoramic views, insect and flower close-ups and outdoor recreation action shots, and learn about difficult lighting situations, such as shadows.
Josh Whitmore, director of Base Camp Cullowhee and an experienced outdoor photographer, will lead the group.
Cost of the class is $55, including lunch. Preregistration is required and the class is limited to 12 students.
